Colonia Delta is located in the territory of the Department of San José in its sector 5 . Settlements nearby are the most Río de la Plata Located Boca del Cufré west, La Boyada in the Northeast, Ecilda Paullier and Scavino in the north-northwest, as well as in the Cuchilla Pereira located Mevir Costas de Pereyra in the southeast.

Colonia Delta is a Mennonite colony . It was founded by Germans who immigrated during the Second World War .
