The Coal Bank Pass is a mountain pass in the southwestern part of the US state Colorado in San Juan County . The pass is located in the San Juan National Forest and runs between Tacoma in La Plata County and Molas Pass . The Million Dollar Highway , part of US Highway 550 , runs over the pass .
