Coatbridge is a Scottish town in North Lanarkshire near Glasgow . The city of 43,841 inhabitants is the center of the Scottish iron industry.
Because of the immigration of many Irish in the 19th and 20th centuries, Coatbridge is also known as Little Ireland .
Some sections of the Monkland Canal are still preserved in Coatbridge.
