Codex Vaticanus Graecus 64

The Codex Vaticanus Graecus 64 is a manuscript in the possession of the Vatican Library . The parchment codex has a format of 318 × 205 millimeters, consists of 289 pages and was written around the year 1270. It comes from Thessaloniki and contains a collection of 35 letters, known as the Socratic Letters, written by different authors in the 2nd or 3rd century AD.

From the Codex Vaticanus Graecus 64 all other text witnesses Sokratikerbriefe depend. The manuscript was also fundamental for the Editio princeps of the Socratic letters, which was published in 1637 by Leone Allacci .
