Coely , whose real name is Coely Mbueno (born January 5, 1994 in Antwerp ), is a Belgian rapper .

Career

At the age of 17, Coely was discovered in a youth center in Antwerp. When she was still at school she signed her first contract with the Belgian independent label Beatville. She finished school in the summer of 2013 and started her first festival season the following day. A total of 34 concerts this summer at Studio Brussel earned her the title of “Queen of the Festivals”. In the same year she won the Belgian RedBull Electropedia Award for Breakthrough of the Year.

In the summer of 2014 she performed in Germany for the first time: at the Splash Festival and in the Introduction concert series of the Cologne music magazine Intro .

Their music is a genre mix of hip-hop and soul. Their first single Ain't chasing pavements was released on September 13, 2012. Their debut album RAAH The Soulful Yeah followed a little later on March 23, 2013. Their producers are the duo Nasta & NiZ. Your one-woman-show on stage will be accompanied by DJ Ephonk . Her fellow rapper DVTCH NORRI $ , also a Beatville talent, appears as a co-artist at her shows .

It celebrates its first stage successes as an opening act for established stars such as Kanye West , Kendrick Lamar , Snoop Dogg , Nas and De La Soul .
