Coenonympha Mangeri is a butterfly ( butterfly ) from the family of Nymphalidae (Nymphalidae) in Northern Afghanistan occurs.

description

The upper side of Coenonympha mangeri looks very similar to the little meadow bird ( Coenonympha pamphilus ). The apical point on the upper side of the forewing is weak and the band at the hem is narrow. The underside of the forewing also resembles that of the little meadow bird. The hind wing underside differs significantly from other species. Five to six brightly rimmed ocelles sit in the light brown submarginal bandage. From the base to the submarginal bandage, the wing is yellowish-white and has three dark brown spots near the base, which in females flow together to form a bandage. The first is between the front edge and the cell , the second covers part of the cell, and the third is below the cell.

Distribution and way of life

Coenonympha mangeri is found in northern Afghanistan (Pagman) and flies from July to August.

Systematics

Coenonympha Mangeri was developed by Otto Bang-Haas in his work Horae macrolepidopterologicae regionis palaearcticae 1927 first described and is named after Constantin Manger, the discoverer of the moth.
