Coffin Lust is an Australian death metal duo from Melbourne that came together in 2010.

history

Coffin Lust was founded at the end of 2010 and consists of the drummer, guitarist, bassist and singer Jarro "JR" Raphael and the guitarist and singer Pete "PW" Walker. In the same year they wrote the first four songs and worked on them for the next six months. In July and August 2012, a first demo was recorded, which consists of four songs. In 2016 the debut album Manifestation of Inner Darkness was released via Hells Headbangers Records .

style

Christian Popp from Metal.de wrote in his review of Manifestation of Inner Darkness that the duo is based on Death Metal from the early and mid-1990s. In doing so, take central rather than northern European groups as role models and thus remind you strongly of Deserted Fear in the approach . Slower or Doom Metal passages are also processed and sonic parallels to Asphyx , Grave , Morgoth and Torchure are audible. Occasional influences from Northern European bands can be heard through the processing of Entombed bonds. Neill Bird of metal-observer.com also reviewed on the album and described the music as classic dirty death metal. This is based on the 1980s and 1990s. In addition to tempo changes and the processing of various riffs , the songs lack solos .
