Coleur ratio

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the German Armed Forces, the term " coleur " refers to the special assignment of a unit to another unit. The Coleur relationship serves the support u. a. in or during joint military training and is intended to promote a relationship based on partnership. The aim can be better cooperation in an emergency. The coleur relationship is not a subordination relationship.

reserve

Non-active units (supplementary units) are in a Coleur relationship to an active unit. This is called according to the Coleurverband , Coleurcompanie or equivalent.

artillery

Artillery units can be in a Coleur relationship with a unit to which they would regularly provide fire support in the event of an emergency . For example, the three firing batteries of a brigade artillery battalion can each have a Coleur relationship to the three combat troop battalions ( tank battalion , tank grenadier battalion ) of the brigade to which they are jointly subordinate.

Bundeswehr in the new federal states

After German reunification , the associations newly established in the new federal states received a West German partner association (Coleurverband), to which they had a Coleur relationship. The Coleur associations should provide material and personal help as well as provide general support and advice.
