Huang Zheng (Chinese: 黄 峥; Pinyin: Huáng Zhēng; born January 1, 1980 in Hangzhou ), also known as Colin Huang , is a Chinese billionaire and founder and CEO of the e-commerce company Pinduoduo . In June 2020 estimated Forbes his fortune to 36.1 billion US dollars .

Life

Huang earned a master's degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin at Madison . After an internship at Microsoft , he became a technician at Google in 2004 . He moved to China in 2006 and was part of the team that started Google China . In 2015 he founded the internet mail order company Pinduoduo. After Pinduoduo went public on NASDAQ in July 2018, Huang's fortune was valued at 47% of the shares at $ 14 billion, making him one of the richest people in China.
