The traps-rotifers ( Collotheca ) are a genus of the rotifers (Rotatoria).
description
The crown has 1 to 7 lobes. Long eyelash bristles are arranged in fans on the lobes, which swirl prey into the trap funnel. The lead pipe has been transformed into a long funnel. A transverse bead separates a vestibule at the base of the leadpipe.
Trap rotifers are mostly sedentary in gelatinous tubs.
