Colmobil is a vehicle importer headquartered in Tel Aviv , Israel . The company is one of the largest Israeli vehicle importers.

Colmobil was founded in 1906 and has been privately owned by the Harlap family since the company's founder Nachum Miller died in 1920. Shmuel Harlap is the Group's CEO . The Colmobil Group currently employs over 1,000 people who work in the service centers, vehicle showrooms, the headquarters in Rosh Ha'ayin, a suburb of Tel Aviv, and the delivery preparation center in Ashdod .

history

In 1906 the company "Miller & Co. Engineering Company Ltd" founded by Nachum Miller began trading and repairing agricultural machinery. In 1936 the first factory of their own was established and they imported engines and manufactured their own agricultural machinery and took over the sales of SKF ball bearings . In 1952 the Harlap family acquired the distribution rights for Scania trucks from Sweden. From 1958 Goggomobil vans were manufactured under license by Colmobil for the Israeli market.

Since 1963 Colmobil Corp. Direct importer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles . Mitsubishi vehicles are imported from 1988 and the organization for Hyundai vehicles in Israel was established in 1994 . From 2002 the Smart models were added and the service network was expanded. In 2006 Colmobil had sales of $ 647.8 million, making it the 46th largest company in Israel.

In 2014 Colmobil signed an import and distribution agreement for comfortable, high-quality buses and minibuses with the Chinese company King Long . King Long is one of the two largest bus manufacturers in China.

Colmobil operates its own spare parts, logistics and training center for the imported brands.
