Coloma Island ( English ; Spanish Isla Coloma ) is a small island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located southwest of González Island in Discovery Bay on Greenwich Island .

Chilean scientists named it after Luis Coloma Rojas, a member of the winter team at Soberanía Station (now Arturo Prat Station ) in 1947. The UK Antarctic Place Names Committee translated this name into English in 2003.
