The Colorado State University - Pueblo (also called CSU-Pueblo ) is a state university in Pueblo in the US state of Colorado . There are currently 4584 students enrolled here. Colorado State University-Pueblo is a fully accredited, regional, and comprehensive state university offering social, educational, and cultural opportunities to its students.

The 275 hectare campus of the university offers numerous different faculties and fields of study as well as art and cultural attractions and leisure opportunities. The campus landscape also includes a library renovated in 2018, a newly constructed general school building for $ 16 million, an expanded soccer and lacrosse stadium, and the Occhiato University Center for $ 30 million dedicated to student activities .

The University's Hasan School of Business is one of the top 15 percent of international business courses in the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business ranking.

In addition to degree programs, CSU-Pueblo offers courses in multiple majors to meet the needs of working adults and military personnel in Colorado Springs. Courses with the following qualifications are offered: sociology, specializing in sociology / criminology, social work, business administration management, as well as various general education courses.

history

The college was founded in 1933 as the Southern Colorado Junior College (SCJC) . After several name changes, it was called the University of Southern Colorado (USC) between 1975 and 2003 . It received its current name in 2003.

Sports

The sports teams of Colorado State University-Pueblo are the "Thunderwolves". The teams compete in 22 sports as men and women. One focus is on American football and soccer. The college is a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
