Buffalo's story was not very successful. The Wild Card Game was reached only twice, which was lost both times. In general, Buffalo was never able to achieve a positive win-loss relationship after the season. Every year more games have been lost than won.

One of the most famous players in the squad was quarterback Browning Nagle in 2000 . He was a former New York Jets second round draft pick who played in the NFL for a total of five years.

For the 2004 season it was announced that the franchise would move to Columbus and call itself Columbus Destroyers.

Columbus Destroyers (2004-2008)

In Columbus the situation changed only to a limited extent. Although a positive win-loss season was never achieved here, but in 2007 the Destroyers reached the ArenaBowl completely by surprise. However, this was lost 33:55 against the San Jose SaberCats .

On the other hand, the audience numbers are positive. Although the franchise in Columbus was not very successful, a franchise cut of 14,306 viewers was posted.

When the AFL put down the game for a year for the 2009 season, the Destroyers were also dissolved and no longer started in the AFL.
