The  Orlando Predators  were an  arena football team in Orlando ( Florida ), which in the  Arena Football League  has played (AFL).

history

The Predators were founded in 1991 and played in the AFL.

They played their very first game on June 1, 1991 with the Tampa Bay Storm , which was lost 38:51.

The franchise is one of the most successful in league history. Except for 1991 and 2012, they reached the playoffs in each of their 26-year history. They entered the ArenaBowl seven times. In 1998 and 2000 the Predators were even able to win it.

But the franchise was not only convincing in terms of sport. From 1991 to 2016, the Predators welcomed a total of 2,615,089 viewers, an average of 12,633.

On December 8, 2014, coach Rob Keefe was sacked by the Predators for domestic violence.

In the week of June 18, 2016, the AFL distributed stickers and patches with the "ORL" emblem for every league game due to the Pulse Nightclub massacre in Orlando a week earlier.

After the 2016 season, the Predators broke up due to financial problems. The main reasons were still the few teams and the weak financial concept of the league. A return to the league is still possible.
