The former Comburger Klosterhof (also Seiferheld'sche Haus ) is located at Klosterstrasse 5 in Schwäbisch Hall .

history

The building belonged to the care yard of the Comburg monastery, documented in 1323 . In 1827 Friedrich Franz Bühler acquired the building, which later inherited from his daughter Catharina, who was married to Johann Friedrich Seiferheld, Haalschreiber and city councilor. Albert Seiferheld bought the house in 1886. Since October 8, 1925, the house has been entered in the state directory of architectural monuments in Württemberg.

Architecture and equipment

In essence, the house is the Romanesque Berlerhof . The portal is designed in the early Rococo style. A hall on the first floor still showed stucco decoration with figural relief images in 1907 . A sun surrounded by putti was depicted as well as female allegories of the four seasons. In the hall there is a rear wall made of cast iron from the year 1734. The hall on the 2nd floor showed stucco decoration with figural relief images, such as the Justitia surrounded by putti and allegories of the four elements.

At the end of the 1950s, all wooden ceilings were replaced by concrete, with the baroque furnishings being lost.
