Comeback is the fourth and final studio album by the German rap group Tic Tac Toe . It was released on February 17, 2006 and contains eleven other tracks, the single Spiegel, which was released in advance in December 2005, and the song No Hunch , which was released on May 12, 2006 as the band's last single.

The Warner Music Group released the album, which should represent a comeback for Tic Tac Toe . For the production of the 13 tracks, the group got support from fellow musicians. All songs are by Tino Oac and Florian Sitzmann , both of whom are members of the Söhne Mannheims group . They produced the album together with Markus Born , who is also part of the band.

Charts

The album reached number 25 in Germany, where the CD stayed in the charts for four weeks. In Austria the record was placed at position 26. The long player fell out of the charts after five weeks. In Switzerland the album debuted at number 43 on the charts and got out again after three weeks.

Single releases

Five years after the temporary separation from Tic Tac Toe, the single Spiegel was released in December 2005 . In the accompanying music video , Tackenberg, Wältken and Wiegelmann appear individually and explain their problems to a psychiatrist. According to cdstarts , the piece has a "thought-provoking and tragic text". The song reached number seven in the German single charts and was able to stay on the German market for a total of 15 weeks. In the Austrian Top-40 , the song was also in seventh place, although Spiegel was one week less in the charts. In the Swiss charts , the track was tenth. Here the title fell off the charts after 14 weeks.

No idea was released on May 12, 2006 as the group's last single and was the first single of the trio to fail. In the video for the song, the members explain what they don't like about life and give their opinion to reporters. The director was Jan Christoph Schultchen. A longer version of No Clue can be heard on the album . According cdstarts convince no idea "with a catchy chorus."

reception

Tanja Kraus from cdstarts gave five out of ten possible evaluation points. Among other things, she mentions the two single titles as well as Abgrund as listening tips . In addition, the piece Tanzkillah has "a certain joke, at least occasionally grooves and heralds the better ending ..."
