Florian Sitzmann (born May 13, 1965 in Karlsruhe ) is a German musician and music producer . He is particularly well-known for his work as a keyboardist in the band Söhne Mannheims .

Life

Florian Sitzmann received piano lessons from the age of five. He studied at the Karlsruhe University of Music and graduated with honors in piano. In addition to the piano, he also plays the cello .

In the course of his career Florian Sitzmann has worked with many different artists, including Judy Bailey , Dieter Falk , André Heller , Edo Zanki , Ralf Gustke , Kosho and Xavier Naidoo . He also works as an arranger and composer for the productions . He became known to a larger audience for the first time through his contributions to the home recording competitions of MM-Musik-Media-Verlag (including publisher of the magazines KEYBOARDS , Guitar & Bass and Sticks ) in 1987/88 and 1989/90. In 1995 he accompanied the project The Messiah - Handel meets Pop as arranger and musical director . As a producer he worked, for example, for Cae Gauntt - whom he also supports live as a pianist - or for Nena , whose album Chokmah (2001) he produced. In 1999, he conducted the Vienna Symphony Orchestra for the live performances of the song She does not see me by Xavier Naidoo . Since 2003 he has been a lecturer at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg in Mannheim .

Florian Sitzmann has been running his own studio (Sherwood Forest Recorder) since 1999 , which is located in the premises of the Kangaroo Digital Audio Studio . His instrumental works, including his early works, are available for download under the pseudonym Instrumental Voyage .
