Michael Koschorreck
Michael Koschorreck (better known by his stage name Kosho ; born January 4, 1962 in Heilbronn ) is a German guitarist and singer .
For the last 25 years he has played guitar tracks for Nena , Xavier Naidoo and Les McCann , among others , has worked with producers such as Edo Zanki and Markus Born and has received several awards with the avant-garde pop formation Sanfte Liebe , in which he worked with drummer Ralf Gustke played together, and which later became the Mardi Gras.bb emerged. In the 1990s he increasingly turned to the possibilities of the acoustic guitar and developed his individual style of "mondo funk guitar" by fusing elements of the musical styles bossa nova , blues , jazz and flamenco . The result was a mixture of jazz and pop music, as can be heard on the Tinggal album .
The initial spark of his pop career came in May 1999 when Kosho, as a co-organizer of a benefit concert, asked various local and national acts to participate. The sons of Mannheim performed together with Kosho and kept him as a guitarist.
Since 2003 he has also been a guitar lecturer at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg , whom he supports as a project partner like Xavier Naidoo and the rest of Mannheim's sons. Kosho also writes music for theater and film .
