Comic Kairakuten ( Japanese COMIC 快 楽 天 ) is a Japanese hentai - manga magazine , which is aimed at a young, male audience and is therefore counted in his category. It contains almost exclusively sexually explicit content, making it one of the most revealing magazines for this target group. It has been published by Wanimagazine since 1995 , and copies sold 350,000 times in 2009.

The same publisher also publishes the sister magazines Comic Kairakuten Beast , Comic Kairakuten XTC (pronounced ectasy ), Comic Shitsurakuten , Comic Hanaman and Comic X-Eros . From 1997 to 2000 the magazine Kairakuten Hoshigumi ( 快 楽 天 ・ 星 組 ) was also published.

Young Talent Award

The magazine also distributes the Kairakuten Shinjin Mangaō-shō ( 快 楽 天 新人 漫画 王 賞 ) to young artists in several levels: the Ōsama-shō ( 王 様 賞 , "King's Prize") endowed with 500,000 yen , the Ōjisama-shō ( 王子様 賞 , “Prince's Prize”), the Ohimesama-shō ( お 姫 様 賞 , “Princess Prize”) endowed with 100,000 yen and the Shōreishō ( 奨 励 賞 , “Promotion Prize”) endowed with 50,000 yen . In principle, this is awarded every six months, although not all grades are taken into account for every issue - the Ōsama-shō, for example, has never been awarded - and a few times no artist has been awarded.

Receivers were u. a. Okama (1997), Jōgi Tsukino (1998), Keito Koume (2000), Hanaharu Naruco (2002) and Tosh (2007).

In 2014 the prize was replaced by the Ero Manga Grand Prix , which is awarded by Kairakuten, Kairakuten XTC, Shitsurakuten, Comic X-Eros and Kairakuten Beast, in the Grand Prix grades ( グ ラ ン プ „," great price ") with 1,000,000 yen, Jun Grand Prix ( 準 グ ラ ン プ リ , "half-large price") with 700,000 yen, Nyūsen ( 入選 , "winner; selection") with 500,000 yen, Junnyūsen ( 準 入選 , "half-winner") with 300,000 yen, Kasaku ( 佳作 , "commendation") ) with 100,000 yen and Shōreishō with 50,000 yen.
