The Communauté de communes du Pays de Moncontour is a former French community association with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Département Côtes-d'Armor , whose administrative seat was in the town of Moncontour . Its catchment area was in the center of the department. The community association founded on December 30, 1993 consisted of six communities.
Tasks of the community association
Since the majority of the municipalities were very small and had mayors (maires) as a secondary office, the communauté was responsible for various tasks of the municipalities involved. There were several commissions (e.g. for environmental protection, sport, economic development, garbage collection, etc.) that were active across the congregation.
Historical development
The Communauté de communes du Pays de Moncontour belonged to five of the ten municipalities in the canton of Moncontour and the municipality of Plémy in the canton of Plouguenast . Until January 1, 2014, the Langast community was also part of it.
With effect from January 1, 2017, the municipal association was dissolved and its member municipalities were divided between the municipal associations of Saint-Brieuc Armor Agglomération and Communauté de communes Lamballe Terre et Mer .
