Community of Knowledge

The Community of Knowledge is an independent internet platform for knowledge management . The Community of Knowledge provides a broad, freely accessible pool of German and English-language knowledge management articles, provides information on relevant events and publishes the Open Journal of Knowledge Management. The article pool of over 350 articles, in which 300 authors are involved, has achieved a high level of awareness as well as a strong network in German-speaking knowledge management experts.

history

The Community of Knowledge was founded in 2000 by m2-Consulting GmbH. With the Community of Knowledge project in 2002, it took 2nd place in the Commerzbank “Knowledge Manager of the Year” competition in the category of up to 50 employees.

In April 2004 Steffen Doberstein took over the editorial management and in 2005 also the owner. Steffen Doberstein is editor-in-chief of the Community of Knowledge to this day.

In April 2009 the platform was taken over by Pumacy Technologies AG in order to reactivate the community through a relaunch, which took place in September 2009. In 2011 Pumacy Technologies AG handed over the Community of Knowledge to the current owner, the non-profit Intakt Umweltstiftung.

To this end, the Community of Knowledge carried out a survey in 2012 and published the results.

Open Journal of Knowledge Management

The Community of Knowledge publishes the Open Journal of Knowledge Management twice a year , an open access journal on the subject of knowledge management. The first edition of each year is based on a specific topic in the broad field of knowledge management, in the second edition the most successful articles of the last 12 months are presented.
