Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos (CBC) is a Brazilian arms company.

history

In 1926, two Italian immigrants founded a cartridge factory ( Fábrica Nacional de Cartuchos e Munição ), which developed into one of the world's largest ammunition manufacturers. The company was able to rely on a decade-long monopoly in Brazil.

The main shareholder of CBC is Daniel Birmann. He holds his shares through Charles Limited. This is registered in the British Virgin Islands .

In Germany, the ammunition factory Metallwerk Elisenhütte Nassau (MEN), which was facing bankruptcy, was taken over in 2007 by the CBC . The group also includes the Czech Sellier & Bellot and the US ammunition manufacturer Magtech .

Production sites in Brazil are in Ribeirão Pires in the state of São Paulo and in Montenegro in the state of Rio Grande do Sul .
