The Conchie Glacier is a glacier on the Rymill Coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows between the Batterbee Mountains and the Steeple Peaks in a south-westerly direction to George VI Sound .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the glacier in 1976 after Bertie John Conchie (* 1930) of the Royal Air Force , pilot of the British Antarctic Survey from 1969 to 1975.
