Concours de Dressage International

Concours de Dressage International (CDI) is the name of an international dressage tournament organized by the FEI .

A distinction is made between:

CDI-P / Ch
an event for pony riders (12–16 years on ponies) or children (12–14 years on large horses)
CDI-J / Y / U25
an event for juniors (14–18 years), young riders (16–21 years) and for riders up to 25 years
CDI 1 *
For riders from 16 up to the Intermediate I exam level
CDI 2 *
for riders from 16 up to the Grand Prix level
CDI 3 * to CDI 5 *
For riders from 16 up to the Grand Prix Special and Grand Prix Freestyle level . The classification differs mainly through the prize money
CDI-W
like CDI 5 *, in addition, minimum quotas from the leaders of the current European best list in accordance with the FEI World Cup rules must be achieved at the invitation. A very high level is guaranteed at these tournaments by means of a prescribed minimum prize money and an invitation to a minimum number of the currently best riders. All CDI-W tournaments are part of the FEI Dressage World Cup .

The Officiel extension ( CDIO ) denotes the official international dressage tournament of a country. Each country is only allowed to write out one CDIO per year. The German CDIO usually takes place as part of the CHIO Aachen .
