description

A350

In the 1970s, the Swiss army needed a new motorcycle. Like its predecessors, this was to be built by Condor in Courfaivre . From 1973 to 1978 around 3000 machines were produced. This makes the Condor A350 the last motorcycle to be built in large numbers in Switzerland. All machines were taken over by the army. They were used for reconnaissance trips and as a means of transport for the street police. They were auctioned from the end of the 1990s, and today they are no longer in military possession.

As drive you used a single cylinder - petrol engine of Ducati with vertical shaft and a capacity of about 340 cc. In the original it has around 30 hp . For use in the A350, it was throttled to 16 hp via tamer control times, smaller carburettors , lower compression and a quieter exhaust system .

The motorcycles were all assembled in Switzerland, but some products from abroad were used. This includes the fork , the struts, drum brakes and the lamp. The tank, saddle and frame were made in Switzerland.
