Conor Harrington (* 1980 in Cork ) is an Irish painter and graffiti artist who lives and works in London .

life and work

Harrington studied at the Limerick School of Art and Design from 1998 to 2004. During his training he created graffiti in Cork. Not feeling the Irish art scene receptive to his graffiti art, he moved to London in 2004.

Harrington's subject is struggle. Harrington specializes in large black and white illustrations of combatants. The clothing of the combatants is based on the fashion of the 18th century. The graffiti are reminiscent of paintings, have a sfumato effect, and are sometimes blurred.

At auction in 2015 at, his 2013 work Dance with the Devil sold for £ 77,500 ($ 116,413) at Bonhams in London, far surpassing Banksy's work on sale at the same time.
