Conquering Lion is a pseudonym of the British singer , rapper and producer Michael West (born August 27, 1965 in Tottenham , London ), who has already had some hits as a Rebel MC . He is considered one of the pioneers of jungle and drum and bass .
Career
After his successful time as Rebel MC, Michael West concentrated on his work as the Conquering Lion from 1993 to 1995. During this time he released various singles, of which Code Red was able to place in the UK charts in October 1994 . The title became a huge club hit and made the jungle style very popular in the UK.
With Banana Boat Man / Code Black and Code Red , remixes of old Conquering Lion tracks were released in 2003 and 2009 .
