Constantin Dumitrescu (born March 14, 1931 in Bucharest , Kingdom of Romania ) is a former Romanian boxer . He was the winner of the bronze light welterweight medal at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne .

Career

In 1956 Dumitrescu represented his country at the Olympic Games in Melbourne. In the quarterfinals he won against the South Korean Hwang Ui-Gyeong on points. In the semifinals he lost to the Italian Franco Nenci on points. By reaching the semi-finals, however, he had already won a bronze medal .
