Magdalena Richter (born July 7, 1992 in Lüdinghausen ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Richter learned to play football at SC Union 08 Lüdinghausen , where she played with male juniors up to D-youth . After two years in Fortuna Seppenrade's C-youth team , she switched to DJK Eintracht Coesfeld , where she first played for the B-Juniors and later for the women's team in the Regionalliga West .

In the summer of 2013 Richter moved to the Westphalia division DJK-VfL Billerbeck and one year later joined the then second division VfL Bochum , for whom she played in 21 league games in the 2014/15 season and scored seven goals. After Bochum withdrew his team from the Bundesliga, Richter signed with FSV Gütersloh in 2009 for the 2015/16 season . There she also quickly became a regular player and played 40 of 44 possible games in the 2nd Bundesliga North in the following two seasons , scoring twelve goals.

For the 2017/18 season , the midfielder signed a two-year contract with Bundesliga club MSV Duisburg . She made her debut in the top German division on September 9, 2017 (2nd matchday) in a 0-1 home defeat against 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam .

Richter is studying civil engineering at the Ruhr University in Bochum and is a member of the German national student team.
