Contwoyto Lake is a lake in the Kitikmeot Region of the Nunavut Territory, Canada, on the border with the Northwest Territories .
The water area of the lake is 933 km², with islands the total area is 957 km². An important tributary is the Contwoyto River , which flows into its east end. Contwoyto Lake is drained from the Burnside River north to Bathurst Inlet , a bay in the Coronation Gulf . The winter road Tibbitt to Contwoyto Winter Road provides a transport connection to the lake.
