Cookie the Herbalist

Cookie The Herbalist (actually: Stefano Raschi ) is a Swiss reggae musician.

Career

He made his first musical experiences at the age of six in a church choir in Italy. At first he only produced a few mixtapes and toured Switzerland as a support artist . In 2007 he became a member of the Gideon Production Artist Camp. He appeared as support on the European tour of Jah Mason a . a. at the Rototom Sunsplash in Italy and at the Rumble Reggae Festival in Bavaria.

With Don't You Tell Me , Cookie presented a song on the “I Love” riddim from Rootdown Records in January 2008 that managed to be played on many regional radio stations in Switzerland even without being released. In September 2008 the first EP was released with The Good Weed . The Swiss reggae musician Cali P also sang a song with Cookie. The track “Cyaan Stop” was recorded as the soundtrack in Red Bull’s and Salomon’s freestyle ski video “Everyday is Saturday”. The radio success of Don't You Tell Me encouraged its release as a single on Gideon Production in mid-2009.

In 2010, Cookies released their debut album Like A Tree . The pre-released single "A Girl Like You", a lover's mood with the Jamaican Sophia Squire, made it to Swiss radio on SRF 3 . SRF 3 named Cookie the “Best Talent” of August 2010. The album, which made it to number 92 in the Swiss album charts for one week in the same month , was followed by the “Like A Tree” tour with his first band. In 2011 Like A Tree was also released in Germany.
