The Copper Nunataks (English for Kupfernunatakker ) are a small group of Nunatakkern in the southeast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . They rise in an area of 6 km in diameter 18 km west-southwest of Mount Crowell at the head of the Wetmore Glacier .

The United States Geological Survey mapped them on the basis of their own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1967. The American geologist Peter Dewitt Rowley (* 1942), who explored the area in two campaigns between 1970 and 1973, named it after the largest known copper deposit in Antarctica , which is located within the Nunatakker.
