The Wetmore Glacier is a 64 km long glacier on the Lassiter Coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows between the Rare Range and the Latady Mountains in the northern section of Gardner Inlet .
He was discovered during the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948) under the direction of the American polar explorer Finn Ronne , who named him after Alexander Wetmore (1886-1978), then secretary of the Smithsonian Institution , the Ronne in the interpretation of the scientific Program for the research trip was helpful.
