Cord Jakobeit
Cord Jakobeit (* 1958 in Celle ) is a German political scientist .
Cord Jakobeit studied political science, economics and constitutional and administrative law at the Technical University of Hanover , the Institut d´Etudes Politiques in Paris, at the University of Hamburg , at the London School of Economics and at Harvard University . In 1983 he made his diploma in politics in Hamburg. In 1988 he received his Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University. In 1987 he received his doctorate in Hamburg. From 1988 to 1993 Jakobeit was a research assistant at the Political Science Department at the Free University of Berlin . From 1990 to 1993 he was a visiting assistant professor . His habilitation took place in 1998 at the University of Hamburg. From 1997 to 1999 he was a lecturer at the Stanford Study Center in Berlin. Since 2000 he has been a professor of political science at the University of Hamburg with a focus on international politics. From 2000 to 2002 he was director of the Institute for Africa Customers. Jakobeit is a full member and Vice President of the Academy of Sciences in Hamburg .
