Samalga Island is a small uninhabited island in the Fox Islands , part of the Aleutian Islands . The approximately 6.8 km long and 30 m high island is located in the west of the Fox Islands. According to Father Innokenti Weniaminow , around 400 people lived on the now uninhabited island in 1764.
