Amaknak Island ( Aleutian : Amaxnax̂ ) is an 8.5 km² island in the Aleutian Islands and is part of the Fox Islands . It is located in Unalaska Bay in the northeast of the island of Unalaska and is connected to it by the almost 200 meter long South Channel Bridge .
The Dutch Harbor district of the city of Unalaska is located on Amaknak Island. In the United States Census 2000 the population of the island was 2524, making it the most populous island in the Aleutian Islands.
