description

There was previously a smaller corf ("salmon") store at the site, which was called Lord Findlater's Corf House . Fragments of the previous building were integrated into the structure of the Corf Warehouse, which was built in 1765. The Scottish architect John Adam is responsible for the design .

The seven-axis wide main facade of the four-story floor storage facility faces the old harbor. Five unadorned, wide doors are set into the stone masonry at ground level. Building openings are framed with natural stone. On the first floor, individual windows are let into the axes two and six, while there are six windows each on the top two floors. Due to the rising ground, the rear of the building is only three-story. Three doors are let into the seven-axis-wide facade that lead to the first floor. The attic closes with a slate hipped roof .
