Corinna Ponto (* 1957 ) is the daughter of the banker Jürgen Ponto who was murdered by the RAF . In 2011, she and Julia Albrecht, a sister of the former RAF terrorist Susanne Albrecht , published a book on the common past of their families.

Life

Corinna Ponto was 20 years old the year her father was murdered. She studied acting and opera singing in New York, Cologne and Frankfurt and sang since 1990 as a youth dramatic soprano at various opera houses, including the music theaters in Dessau, Schwerin and Erfurt.

In 2007 Julia Albrecht, a sister of RAF member Susanne Albrecht , contacted her. An exchange of letters began that ended the silence between the families who were good friends before their father was murdered. This dialogue was published as a book in 2011 and was then picked up in the media, for example in 2011 in the Beckmann show in conversation with Michael Buback and Jörg Schleyer - also children of RAF victims - and the director Andres Veiel , who made a film about the terrorist organization RAF had made.

From 1978, Ignes Ponto , Jürgen Ponto's widow, was the deputy chairwoman of the board of trustees of the Jürgen Ponto Foundation for the Promotion of Young Artists . Corinna Ponto succeeded her mother as Deputy Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees in autumn 2011.
