Corkscrew in Valleyfair! ( Shakopee , Minnesota , USA ) is a steel roller coaster of the Custom Looping Coaster model manufactured by Arrow Dynamics , which opened in 1980.
It was constructed to mirror the design of its sister track, the Corkscrew at Cedar Point . The differences to the track at Cedar Point are a helix before the end of the ride and the lack of a hill before the loop . Until Wild Thing opened in the same park in 1996, Corkscrew was the only outdoor steel roller coaster in the US state of Minnesota.
Trains
Corkscrew trains have six cars each. Four people (two rows of two people) can be seated in each car. Shoulder straps are used as a restraint system.
