Marie-Lélia Cornélia (Cordélia) Nelly Lajeunesse (born March 31, 1849 or May 29, 1854 in Chambly , † after 1930 in London ) was a Canadian singer, pianist and music teacher.

Live and act

Like her sister Emma Albani , Cornélia was taught by her father Joseph Lajeunesse first at home and later at the Sacré-Coeur Convent in Sault-au-Récollet . She performed with her sister in Montreal in 1862 and in the United States in 1864, often playing her Grand Duet for two pianos. In 1870 she followed Emma to Paris and took part in her concert tours again. From 1874 to 1877 she studied at the Royal Conservatory for Music in Stuttgart and received a diploma in harmony. Afterwards she worked for a long time as a music teacher for the children of the royal family in Spain. From around 1900 she lived and worked again with her sister.
