Cornelia Komposch

Cornelia Komposch (* 10. December 1963 in Chur ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ) and, since 1 June 2015, State Councilor of the Canton of Thurgau .

Life

Cornelia Komposch grew up in Chur. She is a trained nurse and farmer with a specialist and teacher certificate . In addition, she continued her education in the areas of public accounting and business administration . She is the mother of two sons and a daughter.

politics

Komposch was 1998-2006 councilor of the political community Herdern . Subsequently (from 2006 to 2015) she headed the congregation as the mayor . In 2004 she was elected to the Grand Council of the Canton of Thurgau, where she headed the Audit and Finance Committee from 2010 to 2012. From 2012 to 2015 she presided over the social democratic union group. On March 8, 2015, she was elected to the government council by the Thurgau voters. Since June 1, 2015, she has been the successor to Claudius Graf-Schelling as head of the Department of Justice and Security.
