Carmen Haag

Carmen Haag (born November 2, 1973 ) is a Swiss politician ( CVP ) and has been a member of the government of the Canton of Thurgau since June 1, 2014 .

Life

Carmen Haag is married and lives in Stettfurt and after completing an apprenticeship as a travel agent at the HWV Higher School of Economics and Administration (today: University of Applied Sciences) in St. Gallen, she studied business administration with a subsequent Executive Master of Finance. She worked for nine years as a tax advisor at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Zurich , Amsterdam , Lausanne and London . Before she took office as a member of the government, she ran her own tax consulting company in Frauenfeld with four employees for six years .

politics

From 2000 to 2014, Haag was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Thurgau and from 2007 she was the parliamentary group president of the CVP (- / glp) parliamentary group. On February 9, 2014, she was elected to the government council by the Thurgau electorate with 43,539 votes. Since June 1, 2014, she has been Jakob Stark's successor in the Department of Building and Environment.
