Cornelia Schiergott

Cornelia Schiergott (born May 6, 1956 in Calbe ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Cornelia Schiergott completed an apprenticeship at VEB Chemieanlagenbau Stassfurt as a mechanical draftsman after completing the polytechnic high school. In 1980 she graduated from the Radebeul technical college with a degree in political science. From 1975 she worked in various positions in the judiciary and police administration, from 1991 she was a civil servant. From 2000 to 2004 she was a freelance member of the staff council, and from 2005 she was employed in the human resources department.

Schiergott has been a member of the CDU since 2003 and was initially active in local politics in Sülzetal . On July 13, 2015, she replaced Nicole Rotzsch in the state parliament.

She is involved in the women's union and the German police union.
