JOOLA Trophy

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The JOOLA Trophy is an award for table tennis players who achieve the best results in team competitions at a world championship or European championship . It is given separately for women and men.

In 1983 the JOOLA Trophy was donated by JOOLA Tischtennis GmbH + Co. KG and the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) and awarded for the first time at the World Cup in Tokyo . The active person to be awarded a prize will receive a bronze sculpture measuring 24 × 10 × 13 cm, which was made by the German sculptor Edith Peres-Lethmate . In addition, the association to which the active member belongs receives a cash prize.

Scoring is based on points. In the first round of the team competition there are three points for a victory, in the further rounds the number of points increases.
