Edith Peres-Lethmate

Edith Peres-Lethmate (born July 28, 1927 in Koblenz ; † April 21, 2017 there ) was a German sculptor .

Edith Peres-Lethmate learned how to handle a wide range of woodworking processes during her training. There was also an apprenticeship as a sculptor, where she learned to work with clay, glass and metal. Since she has done a lot of sports herself since childhood, she is best known for her sports sculptures. In addition, she did a lot of work for church furnishings . She went on study trips to Palestine , Egypt , India , Nepal , Mexico , Indonesia , USA and Japan , on which she was inspired for her art. Her exhibitions were shown in Frankfurt , Cologne , Berlin , Basel , Dijon , Los Angeles and San Francisco . She was a member of the State Association of Visual Artists Rhineland-Palatinate ( BBK ) and the Association of Visual Artists on the Middle Rhine (AKM). Edith Peres-Lethmate died in her hometown on April 21, 2017 after a long illness.
