Cornelis Huysmans (* before April 2, 1648 in Antwerp , † June 1, 1727 in Mechelen ) was a Flemish painter .

Cornelis Huysmans was a student of the landscape painter Gaspard de Witte in his hometown of Antwerp . Later he moved to Brussels to work with Jacques d'Arthois .

After that, Huysman lived and worked in Mechelen until 1702 and then settled back in his hometown until 1716. In the course of 1716 he went back to Mechelen and settled there as a freelance artist.

He preferred to paint native and Italian forest landscapes of strong colors, which are in the galleries of Paris, Brussels, Dresden, Berlin, Schwerin and Vienna.
