Walter Coronda

Walter Ignacio Coronda (born January 11, 1974 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentinian guitarist of gypsy jazz .

Live and act

Coronda was influenced by Django Reinhardt's style as a child . Jon Larsen brought him in 1997 as a soloist for his album Stringtime in Buenos Aires . He was involved in the albums Grama (2000) and Esencia (2012) by Walter Malosetti. Since 2011 he has released several albums under his own name, initially Gypsy Jazz Vol. 1 and 2 (2011–13), followed by Uno de estos días in 2014 (with Germán Faviere) and in 2016 by Walter Coronda . In 2018 he presented Swing en Buenos Aires with Germán Faviere .

In 2011 Coronda participated in the festival in Samois-sur-Seine and other festivals in Europe. He also played with musicians such as Albert Bello, Biel Ballester, Valentin Moya, Thomas Kretzschmar, but also with Chino Swingslide, Les Doigts de L'homme, Nicotine Swing, Le son du Swing and the Hot Club de Santa Cruz . He recorded several tracks for the album Django Festival Vol. 6 ( Hot Club Records of Norway , 2013).
