Coronel Pringles is a small town in eastern Argentina . The capital of the Partido Coronel Pringles of the same name is located in the south of the province of Buenos Aires and has 20,263 inhabitants (2010, INDEC ).

The city is located about 500 kilometers southwest of the capital Buenos Aires and about 100 kilometers northeast of Bahía Blanca .
name of the city
The city was named after the Coronel ( Colonel ) Juan Pascual Pringles (1795-1831), who fought under General San Martín in the Argentine War of Independence .
