Corporation Island is an island in the tidal stretch of the Thames in England. It lies between the Richmond Bridge and the Richmond Railway Bridge opposite the Richmond bank .
The island is uninhabited and heavily overgrown with willows and poplars . Herons live on the island .
Just a little downstream from Corporation Island are the two small islands known as Flowerpot Islands ( 51 ° 28 ′ N , 0 ° 19 ′ E ). The two islands are almost completely artificially fortified and only offer a few trees.
